Why the switch from Ann Ervin to Sandra Mann (Role of TV Reporter)

Ann Ervin was cast in the role of TV reporter for the first 34 episodes until Sandra Mann replaced her. Both of them worked in Colorado Springs local news during the Kenda era but there has been no reason provided for the switch.

In one episode an actress played the part of a younger Ervin while I have not noticed Mann being cast in the acted version (where Marino plays Kenda)of the show.

They switch off and on between both of them depending on the episode. Could've been just a matter of which reporter covered the story and which one didn't - who knows. They also have a third reporter I've been seeing more on the sixth season.

It is better to destroy than to create what is meaningless.
