nightmare on elm street

Reminds me of that movie... how Freddy Kreguer or a monster can only harm you in your sleep. Anyone think it is similar?!!!

reply

No. In all fairness the movie had no rules to its lore.

Fate is what you call it when you don't know the name of the person screwing you over.

reply

In all fairness, Nightmare changed its rules from movie to movie.

reply

And? Of course the rules changed between films - different people wrote and directed them. It's not really a slight against the original.

reply

With some 'Poltergeist' for odd measure

Being awake or asleep had NOTHING to do with it it was the darkness, The sleep thing just a theory they came up with since up until the climax it had only tried get them while slept. Both Nieil and Paulies dad and the d-bag neighbor kid with the bushy eyebrows were wide awake when their heads were rippped off by the creature lol. So was Angela when it did the whole poltergiest thing with the washer and dryer in the garage and when it showed up wearing the sheet. If anything UTB had way more in common a movie like Darkness Falls only real common thread with Elm Street is stupid parents who think their kids are crazy and the best solution to the problem was locking them in their room at night.
