They made it obvious since Neal(the older brother) wore the SoCal Harley t-shirt every day and never washed his hair. So many plot holes so little time.

Someone said this movie isn't for kids, well I beg to differ... what adult would get anything out of something as childish as a monster under the bed? I mean seriously... If bad acting was "special" the Dad would be considered "extra special." He was horrible!

I miss the days when not just anyone with a camera could make a movie.

I think the Dad in this was a tribute to the acting of the Dad in Troll 2 because I have seen this actor in other roles where he was a lot better.

I agree the guy that played the dad was a horrible actor!
Of course it didn't help that they wrote a ridiculous character for him to play
Your two sons obviously have emotional issues so what should you do as a parent? Take the only light bulb out of their room, then LOCK them in that room all night!

Thank god hack writers in Hollywood have no idea how to write for parents, kids and teens or I wouldn't get any work. I would have loved to have gotten my hands on this father character. He was what we call "too far gone" meaning he was beyond just a dialog punch up. He needed a complete rewrite.
