Would have been better as a psychological thriller
First of, Hulu had this under "thriller" which in my opinion should be slightly different than "horror".
Anyway the first half of the movie actually wasn't bad and I thought they made a decent attempt at making it somewhat character driven.
It got totally stupid and actually laughable when the dad finally see's the monster and says "RUN!" I literally LOL'd. And the ending was way too cliche.
In my opinion this would have done much better as a psychological thriller, which they could have taken many different ways. It still might not have been movie of the year but I definitely think it would have been a little less cliche and had more potential.
