Sortta ok, sortta sucked......

I bought one of those imported DVDs at the mall. You know the ones that have ok picture and sound but HORRIBLE subtitling. The subtitles were incredibly poor, like an eight year old translated the movie.

Anyway the movie was pretty generic, but nicely shot. Some effects were great, some bad. The monster was a complete mess, I didn't like the design at all.

The acting as usual in these Korean sci-fi movies was all over place. Dramatic one minute, comic goofball the next.

Another complaint is the length of interaction between the monster and it's victims. I mean these scenes sometimes go on forever and take on a funny effect rather than scares. It's kinda like in The Host (another movie I didn't love, though it's better than this)where the humans and the monster look like they're playing fetch more than battling for survival.

I don't know I think I'll steer clear of future Korean monster movies.
