Why does everyone hate this show?

Seriously, am I the only person who's in love with it right now?

*Team Jacob or Team Edward? Neither, I'm Team Tennyson*

"Mom! The toilet's in love with Andy!"

reply

I love this show too! I mean the gaming parts are corny and their weapons are ridiculous, but it is so entertaining I don't care! Some of the jokes are really hilarious and I love the actors facial expressions and chemistry with each other. Very well written, directed and acted. Good job!!!

reply

Yeah, cornyness aside, this is a very epic show. I just watched "Max Squared" on my computer and just about doubled over laughing when the scene came up where Angie was changing Max's dating profile back. I've never heard of someone being scared of tableclothes.

reply

I liked the eppies Leroy and Sole Provider. Esp the scene in Sole Provider where Wyatt is in the penalty box. I laughed out loud at him icing cupcakes. Too funny!

reply

Both ry epic eppies. I was trying to watch an episode online earlier today and the link wouldn't work. All of a sudden, I found myself yelling, "this thing is so borked." I think I watch this show too much 00) <--poorly made bicyclops emoticon

I love this show. It reminds me of the old school Nickolodeon days.

"Wise man say forgiveness is divine, but never pay full price for late pizza."

reply

I don't understand the hate, man. All I know is that I like it and am actually quite upset that I haven't seen it in several weeks.

Casey strikes out.

Here's a clue:

What channel is it playing on?

reply

It has quite a bit of computer animation, so it can fit right into Cartoon Network. Aside from that, it's a goofy show that doesn't take itself seriously, which makes it very cartoonish.

i respect all you people defending a cool show i love its hllarious with original episodes i know its not as awesome as Even stevens or something but need for the hate

reply

Because a lot of folks thinks that it looks like crap. And personally, bad CG or not, it still is a weird thing to play on a channel that claims to focus on playing cartoons. Not saying that you aren't allowed to like it but that's why this show gets a lot of hate. And some people think that having CGI in a live-action show isn't a good enough reason to put onto Cartoon Network.

I get that the channel it's on is called CARTOON Network, but here's a thought. You know the channel TLC? TLC stands for "The Learning Channel." And exactly how educational is that? Now, it's basically "The Labour Channel." I get your point, but the whole concept is a bit hypocritical.

reply

I don't watch TLC nor did I ever care for it or their programs (to me, they look shallow or uninteresting), but what you are saying that sounds like some BS on the station's part to me.
Anywho.
Hypocritical or not, that's the opinion of a lot of people...Plus, in my opinion, the show just doesn't fly for me, to sum it up. The rest of my opinion in detail is kinda hypocritical dislikes or whatever, but it is still my opinion and I'll stick to it. (I'm not trying to force people to hate this show, is what I'm saying)

Sidenote: I starting to feel that CN's advertisements are getting more and more annoying/obnoxious, even for the shows that I do like. IDK, I guess that could dampen the appeal. :-/

Agreed! I don't necessarily love the show, but it isn't all that bad. I see how some of the slapstick humor might turn off some people when it comes to a live-action show, but I think the cast pulls it off well. The exaggerated acting might be annoying sometimes and the whole "game universe" *beep* is corny as hell, but I like the show. Plus, the chemistry between all the actors really saves the show itself.

People just bag on it because of it being a slapstick live-action show, but what the hell, it's the same as Gumball and Adventure Time. Random, corny at times, and will make you laugh.

I think the show just needs some better writers.

reply

Hey OP, did you forget about what happened the last time there was live action on Cartoon Network?

reply

I guess so. I don't watch CN all that much, just for Level Up and Ben 10 and such.

"Mom! The toilet's in love with Andy!"

reply

"I guess so."

Do well to remember, as it might happen again.

reply

For the same reason "Destroy Build Destroy" was hated- it isn't a cartoon. Besides that fact, the show itself isn't even good (in their opinion).

Okay...No, it's not okay!

reply

Obviously they don't think it's very good. It can't be because it's live action because then you'd see them hating Childrens Hospital.

Besides, I can think of four live-action shows CN aired and three that were announced before Stu Snyder came in, and that's not including movies.

reply

What does Children's hospital have to do with this show? Yeah, so the show is cheesy. I watched the movie (which has a lower rating than the show) before I saw a couple of teh show clips on CN.com. The movie was cheesy as hell, yeah it was. But it was entertaining and pretty funny. I think the main cast, including the talented and super hot Lonny Ross is great.

Bottom line, Level-up is way more entertaining than those other kiddie shows on Nick, Disney Channel, and yes, even *beep* like True Blood.

Are you really comparing a kids show to some thing like True Blood???

Love Les Miserables!!!

I believe I just did.

Well that's pretty stupid. You can't compare a show aimed at kids to something that's for adults.

reply

Maybe you're right, but True Blood is VERY similar to Twilight. It might as well be a kid show.
