The 42nd POTUS Might Enjoy This Film Very Much

Yes, I can see it now, a tall, distinguished, extemely striking-looking, silver-haired man in his mid-sixties, sitting there with Adam, Mike, and Neil, among many others, and intoning in his most sincere tone of voice:

"Hi, I'm, Bill, and I've been a sex addict dating back to when Lyndon Baines Johnson, and maybe even back to when John F. Kennedy, was President of these United States in the 1960s."

To which, the sage and always compassionate leader Mike, would reply with some truly reassuring words like: "Welcome, Bill, just coming here today and admitting your long-time problem with satyriasis shows us all that you're really serious about dealing with your now-excessive and totally out of control carnal desires."

Perhaps Adam or Neil would become Bill's sponsor in the program? I can see Adam and Bill reviewing the program's Bible, "A Gentle Path Through The Twelve Steps, The Classic Guide For All People In the Process of Recovery." (Bill could possibly place this important book next to his personal copy of the Bible and next to Bill's copy of historian David McCullough's renowned biography of Harry S. Truman ,entitled, "Truman," next to Bill's bed for quick referral and late night inspiration?)

Although, somehow I suspect that Bill would much rather have Dede or even Adam's old girlfriend, Becky, as his personal sponsor/mentor in the oh-so-demanding sex addict program at that fine and progressive Manhattan church.

For, as Mike puts it in the film, "It'a a program for people who WANT it, not NEED it. And, incidentally, Bill, thanks for sharing with us all your long-standing problem with sex, impure thoughts and frequent onanism."

I think the powerful man having affairs is distinct from run of the mill sex addiction (or maybe a particular form of it).

Can you imagine if Bill had said to the other people at the weekly group session: "I did not have sexual relations with THAT woman, Ms. Lewinsky. I never told anyone to lie, not a single time! Now, I have to go back and do the work of the American people"?

Perhaps, the other guys and gals at the group session would say: "Now, Bill you HAVE to be honest with yourself before you can be honest with the rest of u,s and recognize that you have definite problem with your carnal desires.
Now, why don't you please try again?"
