Anyone else LOVE it?

I actually thoroughly enjoyed this film! Superb acting by both Fanning & Olsen. I don't know, I just never lost interest once in this film. Hope to see more from Naomi Foner!

I loved it too!

I liked it quite a lot although it was pretty predictable. It was so much like a book I read recently, except for the ending.

Which book? Was it by Judy Blume?

I really loved it too! I just finished watching it and Elizabeth Olsen and Dakota Fanning were perfectly matched together.

I loved it!!! I'm not surprised though, Running on Empty is one of my favorite movies. Foner captures forbidden lust/love and teen angst so well. I was too busy relating to the characters and situations to think it was "predictable" or "farfetched." I thought the film was beautiful and captured both the confusion and sexual hunger born from losing one's virginity better than most films I've seen. It was lovely. I thought the casting was perfect too. Olsen and Fanning were so great.

Didn't love it, but liked it a lot... Just because it's leisurely paced and timeless in a sense is no reason to hate it.

I didn't love it but found it interesting enough to watch and will re-watch if I catch it on cable.

I did love the soundtrack though, I'm glad they used Jenny Lewis.

I really liked the atmosphere and the acting by the two female leads. Didn't like the character of David very much and the ending made me cringe on several levels (like: whimsy, contrived, made the scriptwriter seem desperate). Also, the whole setup seemed a bit American, with the whole virginity stuff at their age. I mean, Lilly, yeah maybe because she's shy and introverted. But Gerri? I just don't see how she could avoid sex if she wasn't trying very hard which apparently she wasn't.

But overall, I found it a quite enjoyable film.
