Looks amazing

This is definitely one out of the box - an Australian sci-fi adventure involving American GI's, Nazi's and time travel! The poster looks great, and the premise sounds like an episode of the Twilight Zone gone berserk. I'm really curious about this film, as Australia has little or no tradition of making films like this, and I'm keen to see what the filmmakers have come up with.

Update - see comments from viewers that aren't promising, which hurt fan expectations.

- Australian sci-fi adventure with American WW I GI's, Nazi's, and time travel.

Summary:
Five American GI’s stationed in Australia in 1943 find themselves embroiled in a secret OSS time-travel mission that goes horribly wrong. The hapless soldiers are catapulted 50,000 years back in time, to retrieve an alien spaceship that might help the Allies win the war against Hitler. The soldiers fix their time machine, but are sent 300 years into the future, where the Nazi’s have not only taken over the Earth, they are now preparing to overthrow God in the 25th dimension! How can five hapless GI’s save the future – the past – and every moment in between?

This may have been an attempt to be what Cowboys Versus Aliens could have been, but I gave up after watching the first 30 minutes. For the first 30 minutes you get to watch five GI's walking around the outback in Australia, searching for a pair lost black panthers (pumas), carrying around a radio directional finder, a must for tracking wild game, and discussing trivia from the 1940's. 30 minutes is way to long to find out what the plot is or what this movie is about. I hear there are some Nazi's in here somewhere, and some robots and flying saucers. Think I will watch Cowboys and Aliens again.

mirage,
thanks for the heads-up. Even with shaky press and comedic casting, CVA was fun and enjoyable, and it's clearly worth another whirl to get a historical non-ancient-aliens fix, seeing how 25th honks. But then there's Dead Snow ?

The idea sounds amazing, but ... I don't want to seem harsh or unkind, but I really hope the CGI and effects in the teaser trailer aren't actually completed yet, and we're just seeing working composites. Because if that's how the whole film is going to look, it's going to be unwatchable. Sorry guys, but ... yeah.

You might very well think that. I couldn't possibly comment.

i agree with you..mostly the cgi budget was poor but the acting was okish and the basic script was reasonable overall a decent film for its budget,i actually really like the republic serial vibe
i think you missed something though
there is a plothole involving the jeep(why was it there) but the 2 mile radius around the machine in the future would have been from 50000bc outside of the radius it would have been 2243 not the 20th century ..

Oy, fair crack of the whip, some of us are dinky-di.

Yeah, "one out of the box" means something pretty spesh. (i.e. better than most)

And if you don't like vegemite ... well, you just need your head read.

All of that aside ... yeah, the OP definitely reads like it's a plant.

Funny you mention "crack of the whip" ... I like how the trailer uses the Indiana Jones font.
