Fun bit of cheese

I got a big kick out of the heavy australian accents trying to do various american stereotype accents. I mean that in a good way, like watching your slightly eccentric uncle do a civil war re-enactment. This is straight up B-movie territory. Fun dialog, fun music, over the top pulp comic book style set pieces. Terribly flawed but very entertaining and you can tell the filmmakers really love the genres they are paying homage to. Tons of theremin sounds in the music too, despite the heavy cheese factor and some pacing issues with the dialog, recommended for those wanting to relive the 50's drive-in cinema feeling when big monsters and space ships hung from strings ruled. Hopefully they will make the sequel, just this time leave out the cyborg rape scenes please.
