Filmmaker Carl Colby seems angry at his late father.

Maybe he's angry that William Colby divorced his mother?

Or perhaps he feels his father neglected him while he was growing up?

Whatever the cause, he suggests without any real evidence that maybe his father was a murderer with a guilty conscience that finally caused him to commit suicide.

The movie did greatly increase my respect for William Colby. We certainly could use more men with his courage and character.

I'm sorry the film didn't let me hear from the second Mrs. Colby, Ambassador Sally Shelton-Colby. My guess is she knows enough to resolve any lingering doubts about the circumstances of her husband's death.
