I almost feel sorry for the people who don't like this film
There's a finesse to this film that's obviously wasted on a lot of people.
The chemistry between De Niro, Keaton and Sarandon is reason enough to watch this film. The R rating allows the two female leads to be deliciously bawdy and De Niro's only made a few comedies throughout his career and it's not likely we'll see many more.
All the young actors are all extremely pleasing to watch and do a good job keeping up with the powerhouse leads.
Christine Ebersole and David Rasche are hysterical in their supporting roles and honestly, the only talent I felt was wasted was Robin Williams.
Even the Connecticut back drop and home used in the movie is spectacular.
Wedding films are like Holiday films in that they are always somewhat contrived, but the movie's only 90 minutes and it never becomes boring.
