Thought this was a pretty good movie. And what I thought was bizarre but really cool, was the fact that it looks like Ellie and Bebe are going to be best friends again, even though Bebe marries her ex-husband! 😎Ellie seemed okay with it. Weird, but it has happened, and even stranger things have happened.😉
shareWe have see so many movies and stories that say that when a relationship is over the ex couples must hate each other for life. Being bitter and vitriolic.
Maybe because this doesn't fit that mould we are puzzled. As Robin Williams says "There are many kinds of love" and just because you find you are incompatible with each other it does not mean you cannot still care for and about each other.
It also show a level of maturity. Yes there were affaires but that is human nature. How one accepts and moves on from there is what truly makes a person.
From my own experiences. I was with a girl for over 4 years. She knew I was bisexual but that was not an issue. She wanted children and I did not. She had met somebody who was interested in a family so we parted as friends - although stayed in the same house.
Her new boyfriend moved into the main bedroom and I moved in with a friend in the next room. And thus we all stayed for a few weeks - all together- all as friends.
My friend (now boyfriend) and I moved interstate and my ex married her new boyfriend. And decided to visit us and spend their honeymoon with us in our new place. Again all as friends.
So yes - when a relationship ends one can be bitter.. or just accept it was not meant to be and make the best of life.

Cool! In spite of being an adult comedy with a lot of sex jokes, in some ways it is family-oriented, because it really does show the love of a family for each other. I think Ellie pretty much said that Bebe was a better match for Don as well. And I liked how Alajandro's biological mother said that she was in to possession to judge the Griffen's because she had made mistakes too in the past, and even like Alajandro had in shame lied about them. I like how she pretty much said that even though the Griffen's were pretty much far from perfect, she was just glad that they loved him as much as she did, and had raised him well in spite of being divorced.
