Were all the reviews written by the film maker?

5.3 out of 10 in overall rating yet every review goes to lengths on how great the film is and basically revolves around the same five points, making sure to mention both the film makers and two main leads.

Just doesn't seem to gel to me..and I only came on here to read the reviews when I friend said they'd lend me it - after reading this I don't think I will, so good job, if you can't even get people to watch it for free..

lol, yeah, that's a common problem on IMDB. The website administrators have even written special code to limit the star rating of the movie if it gets too many 10 stars just after being released. So the website managers are well aware of this problem. It's especially impactful for indie films.

The funniest one I read from a member of the cast was something along the lines of "we did the best we could with the budget we had. The director has some good ideas, and the cast tried to make it a fun movie." I thought that was great, because it's honest. The author didn't try to trick anyone, and they didn't give the movie 10 stars either. I wish I could remember what movie I read that from.

Totally agree with the OP. I noticed the same, but after watching the trailer I felt I knew what I was getting into, so I watched it anyway. I was rewarded with just about exactly what I expected.

Don't get me wrong, the shamyeless hype by the filmmakers on IMDB is terrible, and they completely misrepresent the plot and highlights of this movie.

It's not a fast paced action flick (as they'd like you to believe). Oh, there's plenty of guns and combat, and tons of poorly made-up alien/zombie-type creatures, but the film is PURE camp by any standards.

I thought it was hysterical, however. Penis jokes galore, campy 80's style one-liners, mock-80s style buddy cop action, and a plethora of flexed pecs and big breasts.

Al Snow was the only reason I wanted to see it, being a wrestling fan growing up. He obviously had a blast in this film, and no one, from the actors to the writer/director's seemed to be taking themselves very seriously.

It was blatant low-brow parody, big spoofs on a little budgetet, but a heck of a lot of fun if you can take it. When the large breasted lab assistant says "Take me to the shaft and I'll do the rest," you know it's going to be silly.

Yes, it brought out the very worst in me, and my GF laughed a little, but mostly was just exhasperated by my devolving into pre-pubescent teenager, giggling madly at the VERY tasteless jokes.

I've watched it twice. It's certainly not for everyone, but if you're in the right mood for it, and do NOT take it seriously, you're bound to have an enjoyable hour and a half.

Considering the $5,000 budget, the movie was a masterpiece. My review
