I remember a show with the same basic premise: totally self -absorbed therapist who gives terrible advice
The actress was also blonde and I think it was on Sundance Channel around 2007. Anyone know the name?

It sounds like you're thinking of Head Case which starred Alexandra Wentworth and aired on Starz.
