Oddly, Web Therapy Simply Wonderful, The Comeback Not So Much

...I tired to watch The Comeback because I think so highly of Lisa Kudrow...how could she do anything bad?

But there seems to be a real difference between these two shows. First I was curious why she would do two seemingly similar shows with both running at the same time?

Secondly, why is Why Therapy so much more enjoyable to me? The half hour format as opposed to trying to fill an entire hour? All the special appearances of course add a very nice flavor to Web Therapy.

In the end, I just hope that Ms. Kudrow understands what a fabulous show Web Therapy is and what a great format she has developed and filled with great writing and actors.

Best Wishes, Traveller

I love both shows, and I think The Comeback is absolutely hilarious.

..and I need to know I'm being heard. Am I being heard?

Hello hello hello!!

The Comeback and Web Therapy are entirely different shows, with entirely different types of comedy. No reason to put one down in order to like the other.

...humor is a variable thing, ephemeral and real for some people, less so for others. Obviously, I adore Web Therapy...Fiona Wallace really connects with me...for other people, obviously not so well...and still others prefer The Comeback...which I find painful to watch.

It is maybe a testament to Ms. Kudrow that she can move people, or not, across such a wide spectrum.

(I would have responded sooner...and maybe better...lol...but this IMDB Authentication thingy is beginning to put me off...I don't want to give them either my cell phone number or a credit card....anyone else having the same problem or concerns?)

I love them both. I didn't know either existed (no publicity in the UK) until relatively recently and bought, first, The Comeback on DVD, then WT. WT I am finding more of a slow burner but still enjoying very much. Considering I loathed Phoebe in Friends, it's a testament to Ms Kudrow that she has produced such great work post-Friends.
