Two rude, irritating, egotistical Italians like only Italian food.

This program was funny in the first week, simply due to their disgusting greed with ANY food. This week was just irritating. They interviewed a Chinese cook, making Italian-Chinese fusion food, and then just tore into the food she served them, in front of her. They then had the cheek to say that making fusion food isn't ok unless you've tried every dish from every region in Italy. Not every region in the world, not even every country. Just everywhere in Italy.

In summary, they're just crabby old men who only have time for Italian produce and Italian tradition. I won't be watching next week.

they have old mindsets but as far as fusion food in italy, i agree with them. fusion works well in the US but in a country like italy it is quite strange and has never really taken off.

anyways ive only seen the 1st episode so far and loved it. gonna watch episode 2 tonight

dont forget that in the 1st episode both Antonio and Gennaro berate the Italian mass produced pasta maker Giovanni Rana because his pasta isnt made "with love"....

I saw a couple episodes of this and...I just don't get it at all. Also, did they really have to be so literal with the word "greedy" in the title? It's not very appetizing watching two old men pigging out on food with drool in the corners of their mouths. I felt very disgusted watching this show. At least wipe the drool off, for crying out loud; it's a food show.

This show is good.

Italian cuisine has been bastardised enough, look at how much in the USA for example. Deep pan pizza? ffs

Italian and European culture has to be protected.

They don't drool. they are quite well mannered.

I've loved every bit of the series I've seen, personally. Antonio and Genarro's chemistry is great.

This is a fantastic show. They are very passionate about their food and culture. In regards to the Fusion Food episode, they expressed an opinion that it was not for them. The chef took it in good grace and accepted that they were entitled to their view. They are not bland cardboard cut-outs, thank goodness.

I'm actually Chinese myself, and American, and trust me, I've encountered racism that is difficult to forget to this very day, but I don't see these guys as being chauvinistic or racist. I think there's room for many different yet valid viewpoints in life, and I what I saw in that scene were two old-school Italian guys who were very rooted and proud of the culture that they grew up in and which shaped them. Maybe Gennaro and his clown-faces while eating the Asian-influenced risotto might have seemed slightly disrespectful, but I think he's just being his usual playful self there. I get them, and I respect them for their love of Italy. And judging from the other scenes in the series, there's lots of to love about Italy.
