Racist movie

Okey i got a whole lot to say about this movie. And this is good. A lot of movies doesn't raise any questions at all. But this does.

Racist you think? How?
When Alicia talks to one of the black girls in this foreign country the black girl tells her that "white people destroyed this town/country. And that everything that was wrong was because of white people" I can't really remember this quote but i think i got the essence of the line.
This is racism. But since it's whites that is being to blame nobody seems to care. What if Alicia instead said that blacks ruin Europe with all the black criminals and rapists? Would anyone care then? Yes of course.

What we can learn from this, is that racism only can go one way. From white to black. And not the other way around.

What do you say?

It wasn't a racist comment at all. What the person was probably talking about was Salvador Allende and people like him who were white and devastated Chile and its population in the past.

1) Catalina Sandino Moreno is NOT black, she's a mestiza.
2) There's a difference between a racist film and a film that contains racist characters. Her comment was necessary to make the main character uncomfortable and out of place among foreign people.
3) Stop whining, it's pathetic.

Salvador Allende was the president of Chile from 1970-1973. He was democratically elected but considered a socialist. He was overthrown by a US-backed military coup that executed about 10,000 people, including white people and drove a whole bunch more into exile (my family is totally Caucasian and my dad is American). And this had NOTHING to do with the extermination of the indios in Chile, which happened hundreds of years earlier. Please consult wikipedia if any of you don't know this.

But I agree, there are no black people in this. There are hardly any blacks in Chile or Argentina. And a racist character doesn't make a movie racist. Methinks the OP is trolling.

Well I think reading what you've said, that racism itself is shown to be complete nonsense. Absolutely blacks have ruined America, there is no way to argue the opposite except that nobody is allowed to say so. In this film the lady said white people ruined such and such. That's ok to say because it's true and also because the shackles of political correctness are not there. Certain dogs breeds have certain traits. Races are different breeds of people, and they also have different traits. I don't like some races. Political correctness and endless scrutiny of what people say doesn't change my feelings on which races I like or don't. Lion don't mate with tigers, even though they're both the same species of cat, they're a different race of cat. Basically white Europeans are responsible for all the advances in civilisation, and black people are responsible for the destruction.

I hate to burst your bubble, but lions and tigers do mate. They are two hybrids called ligers and tigons depending upon their parentage.

What black girl? Are you trolling? She said "White's farked those people up in this country". Some parts of rural Africa they feel that way about Afro Americans/ Afro Europeans and whites. It's not a race thing, it's a tribe/clan thing.
