Does anyone else feel that the way these people handled the mental illness was totaly unrealistic? If I were truely her friend, I would have taken her to a hospital towards the beginning of the film...

I don't think her being mentally ill was obvious for those staying with her. She just seemed odd and everything she did could be explained... until a certain point of course.

Juno Temple's character had a mental illness? Where was that in the film? There were some strange happenings going on. Eventually she died. It was a supernatural thriller. You'd have to be insane to think she was mentally ill.
