Hollywood makes us disbeleve.

The father/the pastor says "he's saying things that I'm not sure that I believe." WHAT? There is no way that Mr Burpo would say this.

Kay: Senators and presidents don't have men killed.
Michael: Oh, who's being naive, Kay?

reply

"Everything he talks about is impossible"

No one in Todd's church was mad at him or at Colton for what Colton saw or experienced. No.

Yup, you are pointing out one of the main of many glaring flaws of this film. Its allegedly "Christian" characters spend 95% of the film acting like atheists. It makes no sense whatsoever.

That's exactly right. Hollywood has a hard time imaging that there is a group of people who are selfless, full of faith and genuinely nice. Its now how they believe.

You're adding *beep* that isn't there. The young man magically appears out of no where. The account of him running away is IN THE THIRD PERSON. Nobody that is a witness says of themselves "the YOUNG MAN ran away naked and cold" they'd say "I ran away naked". Peter is never recorded as hanging out with a mark, that *beep* is *beep* made up by the fathers .the gospels were written way after these events happened by unknown people

Sorry ignore the above post that was meant for another thread, here is my original post

Do pastors ever teach about biblical contradictions? How about the PAGAN origins of Christmas and Easter? What about how the Gospels Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John were written decades after the events happened by UNKNOWN authors and that the names were pulled out of the air by early pastors and that we have no idea who really wrote them?

Or how about how no one believed "Jesus" was God until after the original apostles died?

No? Your pastor never mentioned this? He / she learned all of this in seminary school though
