I believe in God and Heaven and who are we to say how he works. Did Calton go to heaven maybe, maybe not but I believe in a God that can work in unbelievable ways.

I believe in all 1800 gods! The 30,000 denominations of protestant christians...I agree with all of them! Regardless that they don't agree with each other and ALL claiming to be the "true" christians. I also believe in last minute redemption! I also believe that the 90% of those on death row that are now christians, will soon be in heaven! I believe those atheist doctors and nurses that devoted their entire lives helping and feeding the ill and the starving, will be residing in hell at some time. Beliefs are great!

Funny how you NEVER read of atheists feeding the ill and starving. Not a single memoir -- there may be some in the Peace Corps (not necessarily) , or maybe there were hundreds and Christians killed them all and burned their books. Could be. share

This isn't valid critisism. In fact, soem of its fake. Where id dyou get hte nuber that 90% of peopl on Death Row are Christains? Or is it oart of the fake Prison Stat we see floatign ont he Intenret?
And how do Protestant Grous disagreeing, oftnw on much moreminor pountshtna youd' admit, prove that God in general doesnt exist? Have you ever asked yourself WHY you believe in what you do? Because you were RAISED to believe in what you believe. You didn't just suddenly BELIEVE. People are raised in various faiths and as they grow up, they are indocrinated to believe what they believe in. If you were born in a jungle surrounded by animals but there was a person who took care of you till your were able to take care of yourself, but this person NEVER mentioned the word God, nor religion, nor morals, or anything, what do you think you would believe in?
And I'm not saying there is a god, there isn't a god, angels do or don't exist, etc. I'm just saying that you believe what you believe because you were RAISED to believe.

Yes. And this is another part of the contemporary Atheist Religion that I find to be rather absurd. (No I am not saying Atheism is a Religion, but the Philosophy peopel adhere to and call Atheism nowadays surely is)
I know you want to create a sharp contrast between Atheists and Religious Peopel and part of that is that Religious people never question what they are taught and are Religious because they have been Indocternated as CHildren, whre as Atheists think for themselves and use Reason and Logic and all but, gven the fact that this very argument is itsef a repetition of an idea rather than one you have put thought into yoruself, maybe you shoudl question soem of the Atheistic Ideas you hold to about Religion and Religious People as well as about what it means to be an Atheist.
By the way, not everyone who adheres to a Religion grew up in that Religion, as peopel do cnvert to Reigions, not everyone hodls the same Religious beleifs they held as CHildren either, ro that they grew up in, and even many peopel raised Atheists s eventually become Theists.
As for the question about whether peopel relaly think about why they hodl their ideas many, many, many people have given a good deal of Thought into what they beelive and why, and there are even books by peopel expressing such. Even the common man who doesn't write books oftenthinks about why they beleive what they beleive.
