Is it really a bad film if it makes you think and ellicits such...
strong emotions from you?
In retrospect, I was very enraged by the stupidity of the group at multiple times.
They failed to overlook simple solutions to their problems.
(Spoiler alert: example -- you don't know the code to get out of the bunker. Why didn't anyone think to use the electrician in their midst to "hot-wire" their way out?)
But does the group's stupidity make this a bad film? I kept putting myself into these situations and thinking about what I would do. I kept watching to see what would happen next. I was thinking and feeling the entire time.
And that's the bottom line of good entertainment and art: to engage you. If you recall this film after the fact and you have strong emotions, as opposed to indifference, it's done its job. :)
Did I think it was stupid? Yes.
Do I wish I had never seen it? No.
