Spoiler, explain please

In the begining of the movie. When they stopped for gas why did not the girl (who was sleeping in the car when the rest was inside the gas station)tell everybody about the bloody girl knocking on the Windows (who was achtully herself) Becouse maybe then they could have broken the cirkle. Just an idea. Please respond :)

Because the girl in the beginning isn't the same one at the end of the film. We as the viewers don't know how many cycles they went through before she finally managed to break it. For all we know there's dozens of crazy Michael's in the woods and dozens of bodies piled up in the mine.

reply

Exactly!! It reminded me of a lower-rent version of Triangle (though not as good). I don't understand how some posters are saying it was all in his head!

They're coming to get you, Barbara!

reply

Yes, we do know.

Because there are 2 Michaels at the end of the movie.

2 loops

reply

There are four Michaels by the end. First is the original crazy Michael who warned our present tense Michael about his friends (also known as aggressive campfire Michael). Second is the movie's main present tense Michael. Then there was the third Michael that showed up who received the warning from our present tense Michael. Last but not least was cycle number 4's Michael in the sunny parking lot at the gas station (when the cycle is broken). So there were 3 loops with the fourth being broken by the end of the movie.

I'm guessing this is this is only their second or third time through, but yes, the girl at the end isn't the same one as the beginning.

I must have watched the Australian release dated 2012. The opening credits didn't reference the other title and there was no bloody girl at the gas station. Wonder what else is different.

reply

I had the bloody girl and the beekeeper scene, but no RV sex scene.

In the version on Netflix, there is no bloody girl in the beginning. I watched it again to see. She does look out the window. In the final scene, she says, "where are we?"then we hear the other girl hit the window. In the opening, she doesn't look out the window until later on in the conversation. Implying to me, that she either did break the cycle, or changed it at least.
