Something Special

Let me start by saying Im an independent horror nut. I rented this movie not knowing what to expect but maybe some good kills and something to past the time, but found myself watching what I think could be history in the making. Low budget slashers that fall in this category come and go and a few stick with you and deserve a sequel. This movie is one that deserves to be seen and to have sequels. This movie was made fro 75thousand dollars but feels bigger and is better then a lot of others with a bigger budget and no Soul. This movie has something special to it. the Killer is great hes a mysterious, menacing and pretty cool looking. It follows every slasher movie pattern, kids, town with a bad history, and Its not the best movie ever made but I watched it 3 times with friends and it just has something other bigger movies are missing. You heard it hear first.

Well I happen to love indie films too. Could you suggest some good indie horror films! (:

Hello Shoegal, I love all horror but tend to watch true independents which arent for evyone. I get a kick out of watching movies that you can feel hard work and effort. Most are bad but even the bad one i like watching for fun. A few that have enjoyed recently are obviously Beware, Orphan Killer, Teeth, 100 Tears, Frozen, Butchered, and Carver are some of my recent watches. Some are higher budget and a couple of low budget. A great site to check out is gruesome hertzog thats where i get a lot of my info on independents. :)

jackshere1, thanks! I've seen Teeth, The Orphan Killer, Carver and Frozen. Frozen is such an amazing film, by the way. And yeah, I've watched some pretty low-budget films too. What most people don't get about most low-budget films is that you have to get past the not so great filming, special effects and such. Once you accept all that, most of the movies are pretty good. Have you seen Grave Encounters, Primal, Borderland or The Shrine? If not, you should check them out (:

Borderland and Primal yes the other I will check out thanks.

It must have really struck a chord with you, an "independent horror nut", to finally give in and make an IMDb account just so you can gush over this movie that you are just a fan of and NOT part of (or close to someone who is part of) the production!
