Whoa, always thought it was too hot to snow there.

you've watched too many american movies then. It's climate would actually be similar to northern Arizona. Prescott gets plenty of snow.

During the first Gulf War, it got so cold out in Iraq that diesel was freezing solid in fuel tanks. There was an SAS patrol that famously got stuck out there, on foot, middle of nowhere. At least one of their members eventually succumbed to severe hypothermia.

It's bloody hot out in the Arabic lands... during the day. But when that sun goes down in any desert-like land, the temperature absolutely plummets!
