i found this story wonderfull, but i would like to know if it is a true story, did these things really happen. i know that a lot of 'true stories' have to be embellished..to make them watchable or even interesting, but is this taken from a TRUE story.

Alf Wight is better known under his pen name, "James Herriott." His books were based on his own experiences as a vet.
