The discussion about hypatia is very rushed and generalized without providing any concrete details about her contribution to mathematical understanding our advancement. Her wikipedia entry makes it seems that, although respected for her dignity and understanding, she did nothing to advance math. In fact, it seems that she is included here simply to take a cheap shot at Christianity. A very ignoble act for an otherwise very interesting and entertaining story about the origins and early advancements of math.
