Bad Movie or Bad Edit

I finally saw this movie, hoping in spite of all the bad reviews it would at least have some pretty good action, stunts from Jaa. While there were a few good action scenes mostly it was stuff we have seem from him before with some cheesy CGI added in. I'm wondering if their is an international cut of the film that is better or is the film as seen in the US the actual film. If you look the past US distributers have a history of taking good foreign films and reediting them to suck for American audiences. I found this movie chopping and sort of nonsense at times which makes me wonder if that is the case or if this movie really is that bad.
