Oh, come on hollywood! (minor spoilers)

I saw Franck put something under the desk at about the 50 minute mark. I thought it might be a bug (which it was later confirmed to be at the 1 hour mark). I could help but to burst out laughing seeing the bug have a flashing yellow light on the thing.

What was the point Hollywood? Do bugs come with flashing yellow lights? Wouldn't that be noticed? Are we that stupid as audiences that we can't recognize a listening device without the flashing lights?
