Love this movie.......but was (spoilers)

Shocked at the theft . I never saw it coming . I watch a lot of movies . My family and I are partners in 10 movies theaters . I can always predict what will happen . I was shocked , it sort of felt good to me . I did feel bad for Virgil .

I was sitting here (in tears lol) thinking, please let him get everything back. Talk about a MAJOR twist at the end!!!

reply

Seriously? I saw it coming about 30 minutes beforehand.

reply

I saw it coming too but I really wanted to be wrong. I felt SO BAD for Virgil. *beep*! 😭

But he wasn't a real sympathetic character and I always side with older people! He was an arrogant thief who got exactly what he did to others! The older lady who needed money had a painting worth ?8million and he paid 250,000 because he was a lying thief in a position of trust! I think it poetic justice that Billy, who has rightful ownership on paper, now can sell the whole lot. Back to where the world can enjoy the masterpieces as well, I hope.

I know Billy had it coming. He couldn't go to the police, either. But I think it was cruel the way they did it...they lured and conned him into falling in love with that young woman, and then she, and a guy he'd known for years and trusted, broke his heart. Broke his soul. He didn't have much else in life. That's rough.

Funny, I saw the theft coming, though not who, from the moment the room was shown. From there I just tried to figure out thief. I got it right before long.
