even tho Oldman finds tracking device at the end, which aside the Robot, confirms
that the Robert (mechanic) is main villain
but when Donald Sutherland gave portrait to Oldman, kinda made me question,
was he init too ?
Yes he was. The three of them were (Robert, Claire, and Billy) were working together. I can't quite remember but I think the painting of Claire's mother was by Billy, it would make sense as Billy said something like he has left Virgil one of his paintings in the final scene between the two.
