2011 predictions
The MTV Movie Awards are coming up. And while each year gets weaker and lamer and some categories come and go. The awards show if anything show the common demographic MTV caters to.
Just my guesses on who will win... not should win.
Best Kiss...
Ellen Page and Joseph Gordon-Levitt: Inception
Emma Watson and Daniel Radcliffe: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1
Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson: The Twilight Saga: Eclipse
Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner: The Twilight Saga: Eclipse
Natalie Portman and Mila Kunis: Black Swan
Twihards hold an iron grip on the MTV Movie Awards...I'm guessing the sparkling vampire wins it. Watching Natalie Portman and Mila Kunis go at it is award winning in my book.

Best Fight...
Amy Adams vs. The Sisters: The Fighter
Chloë Grace Moretz vs. Mark Strong: Kick-Ass
Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint vs. Death Eaters: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1
Joseph Gordon-Levitt vs. Hallway Attacker: Inception
Robert Pattinson vs. Bryce Dallas Howard and Xavier Samuel: The Twilight Saga: Eclipse
Again, when Twilight is in the mix other movies don't stand a chance.
-
Best Villain...
Christoph Waltz: The Green Hornet
Leighton Meester: The Roommate
Mickey Rourke: Iron Man 2
Ned Beatty: Toy Story 3
Tom Felton: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1
Since Twilight wasn't nominated I'm going to have to guess Harry Potter.
-
Best Jaw Dropping Moment...
James Franco: 127 Hours
Justin Bieber: Justin Bieber: Never Say Never
Leonardo DiCaprio and Ellen Page: Inception
Natalie Portman: Black Swan
Steve-O: Jackass 3D
Bieber is the safe bet here even though Natalie Portman scene is more of a WTF scene.
-
Biggest Badass Star...
Alex Pettyfer (I Am Number Four)
Chloë Grace Moretz (Kick-Ass)
Jaden Smith (The Karate Kid)
Joseph Gordon-Levitt (Inception)
Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man 2)
Haven't seen I Am Number Four so I can't really comment on him. For girl Chloe's age I thought she did pretty good in Kick Ass. I still can't help but think Jaden got the part because not only is your dad Will Smith but his mommy was the producer. Joseph has come a long way from his 3rd Rock from the Sun days and I'm curious to see his part in the upcoming Dark Knight Rises. Robert has definitely turned his career around thanks to action roles like Iron Man and comedic roles like Due Date and Tropic Thunder and I applaud him for that.
-
Best Scared-As-S**t Performance...
Ashley Bell: The Last Exorcism
Ellen Page: Inception
Jessica Szohr: Piranha 3D
Minka Kelly: The Roommate
Ryan Reynolds: Buried
I have no prediction on this one.

Best Line From A Movie
"I want to get chocolate wasted!" - Alexys Nycole Sanchez: Grown Ups
"There's a higher power that will judge you for your indecency." "Tom Cruise?" - Amanda Bynes and Emma Stone: Easy A
"If you guys were the inventors of Facebook, you'd have invented Facebook." - Jesse Eisenberg: The Social Network
"...A million dollars isn't cool. You know what's cool?" "You?" "A billion dollars. And that shut everybody up." - Justin Timberlake and Andrew Garfield: The Social Network
"You mustn't be afraid to dream a little bigger darling." - Tom Hardy: Inception
Guessing the first Social Network quote.
-
Best Breakout Star...
Andrew Garfield: The Social Network
Chloë Grace Moretz: Kick-Ass
Hailee Steinfeld: True Grit
Jay Chou: The Green Hornet
Olivia Wilde: TRON: Legacy
Xavier Samuel: The Twilight Saga: Eclipse
Even though movie critics like True Grit, it's easy to guess what Twihards will vote for.
-
Best Comedic Performance...
Adam Sandler: Just Go With It
Ashton Kutcher: No Strings Attached
Emma Stone: Easy A
Russell Brand: Get Him to the Greek
Zach Galifianakis: Due Date
Even though I liked GHttG, I think Zach might get this one especially with The Hangover 2 out now.
-
Best Female Performance...
Emma Stone: Easy A
Emma Watson: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1
Jennifer Aniston: Just Go With It
Kristen Stewart: The Twilight Saga: Eclipse
Natalie Portman: Black Swan
Considering Kristen won for Twilight last year I doubt it will be any different this year.
-
Best Male Performance...
Daniel Radcliffe: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1
Jesse Eisenberg: The Social Network
Robert Pattinson: The Twilight Saga: Eclipse
Taylor Lautner: The Twilight Saga: Eclipse
Zac Efron: Charlie St. Cloud
Sparkling vampires beat werewolves and wizards last year, doubt this year will be any different.
-
Best Movie...
Black Swan
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1
Inception
The Social Network
The Twilight Saga: Eclipse
It's not even a fair fight at this point. Congratulations Twihards, you control the movie awards yet again.
