This show doesn't make sense!

I don't get it, the content of the show itself (ie the jokes) seems aimed squarely at the 18-35 "hip" audience, but the nominees and (especially) the winners appeal to the 9-15 age demographic and are about as "un-hip" as it gets. Bieber? Twilight?! Do they really think a 22 year old male viewer gives a s*** about these things? Do they really think a 10 year old girl (or her parents) will appreciate the constant stream of vulgarity throughout the broadcast?

WHO is this show FOR, exactly?

MTV is just a joke and always has been. No one has ever took it serious. Its where people loosely make fun of each other. If you want to see real talent, watch the oscars. MTV is for loser.

yeah what the hells with this tween/bieber/twilight/harry potter stuff that win every category... ..and these old celebs like 30 hanging out and making jokes of these little 16-18 yr old celebs? Clearly the little kids with cellphones did all the voting but i guess they wanted to appeal to 11-30 yr olds ?? 2 hour long show, good thing i didnt watch it live because i FFWD through the BS and commercials and watched the whole thing in like 30 minutes

And that lil girl (winner of Best Line) was made to sit throughout this crude, utterly gross & senseless, witless 'show"??!!!
