The Less Of Baghuul, The Better...

...this movie had me freaked the hell out until they started showing the boogieman too often. Less is more. When he was underwater and in a couple photos that was perfect. Didn’t show too much. Had you wondering what the hell it was. Then he started popping up all the time toward the end and you saw him in full form. That ruined it for me. Again less is more. Should have left his full presence to the imagination and left him in the shadows. This is why the 2nd one wasn’t as good. You already knew exactly what he was and had seen all of him.

Agreed and I have no intention of watching the sequel. I didn't even feel bad for Ethan Hawke's character. He brought all of that shit onto his family!

I agree

Totally agree. He looked so damn creepy in that underwater shot but when they showed him more he really wasn’t that creepy-looking.

I, too, totally agree. I thought the movie was great. Creepy atmosphere, and a little unsettling. Then they start showing a guy that looks like he belongs in a Scandinavian metal band and it was no longer creepy. I absolutely hated the jump scare at the very end too as it really cheapened the movie.

the best/creepiest part of this film is the actual music and/or sounds.
