That would have been way more terrifying.
Imagine a twisted father/ son team stalking and staking out innocent families to slaughter.

Yeah it's more twisted that way. It's what made the kill films disturbing for me in the first place. They still are, but at first, when I thought it was a real person behind this I was horrified.

Well, I couldn't write scripts; movie was good enough for me. Still, no supernatural monster would have contributed to the real horror.
Kill List comes to my mind right now.
YES! The dumb supernatural ending ruined what was shaping up to be a classic horror movie, imho.
