I saw this movie after reading the bad reviews it got and i couldnt understand what all those people are on about.
This is one of the best film to come out of Sout Africa!
I'm finding the Afrikaans peoples reaction to it very funny though.
Yes, I found it beautifully made, intriguing and disturbing (in a goood way). I guess people could not handle the long silences and the looks cast by the main actor, which actually meant much more than thousands of words. The interpretation was brilliant. It's really the kind of films I enjoy: it has a point of view, personality and beauty.

Agreed. I loved the long silences. I particularly appreciated the orgy scene more when it was precluded by the long driving scene with the differing scenery.
