Concert? Great! Sob stories? Not so much! Spoilers!

I was under the impression/hoping that it would be a concert with behind-the-scenes footage intermixed. I felt like them following how "Glee" changed the lives of a little person, a gay guy and a girl with autism was way too much!!! I know that "Glee" likes to take on important issues and I applaud that, but I felt like this was shoved down our throats. I paid $14.50 to hear some fans tell who their favorite Gleek was and why and then this after school special crap. I was disappointed. What do you all think about it??? Too much?

I agree.. I was super disappointed. I too anticipating some behind-the-scenes footage between performances. The stories were cool and everything, but not worth paying for. Had a known that roughly half of the movie was not actually "Glee: The 3D Concert Movie" I probably wouldn't have paid $12.50 to see the movie.

I felt that the interviews were way too self-congratulatory. Why would I pay money to watch them advertising the show to me when they've already got me in the theater?

I loved it, but as I mentioned in my blog review (link is under another thread), my complaints were the little "Glee changed my life" stories. I would have liked to have seen more numbers and backstage/onstage banter in place of that.

These comments are more than right!

The movie tried to explain real life Glee stories. It was like watching a reality TV show from Bravo instead of Glee. It was cringe-watching. I hated it!

The concert footage was OK though.
