What's the point of this picture?

By the way, i liked it. The bittersweet of the story and characters. The way they talked.

the one answer that worked for me was in kikiteka's review- above this section on the film's first IMDB page.

yeah, its good to hear their conversation but this is not a movie. Movie need something to tell, something to absorb, not hearing people nagging around and instantly get mad! I watch HAHAHA and its good, this is still 'good' but pointless.

5/10

I didn't dislike the movie, but I will admit it seemed like a lot of navel gazing.

Hong Sang-soo's film making style is subdued, letting the characters of his movies lead audiences to introspect. The Day He Arrives explores human relationships and an individual's emotion state along with the conflicts in between. Though I can understand if the subdued style irritates people.

I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not.

What's the "point" of anything?

A movie about people who makes movies and their sentimental problems. That's also something to tell, more real than a lot of movies, not every movie has to have some united states hero type.

You guys should take a look at Fandors take on the movie. It's on Youtube. You might wise up a little on why it's actually good. Really good.
