The movie as a whole wasn't that bad. It was interesting, I didn't find myself bored or looking at the clock. This is just not funny...at all. I didn't laugh one time. You can tell what its trying to be, it just never achieves it.

just came across this movie hours ago and watched it
story line - flat
actors - nothing spectacular, not good looking
music - cannot relate
dialogue - boring
script - not original, not funny
overall - complete waste of my time
of course, this is just me
some others may enjoy this movie, just not me

it wasn't horrible and even more profund than more comedies are but it was so mean spirited that all the jokes can't make people laugh because the three bridesmaids are so unlikable that we can't laugh with them

I agree as well. But I think it mostly because I can relate to Becky's issues too much. Not the weight issue, but the problems with her wedding and friendships. Hardly seem like half decent friends when they can't even stand up for the ceremony, and would rather go get a drink. To me, they didn't show they really grew at all. I don't think a friendship could be much worse than that. Any less and they are just Becky's bullies. At least most of the people I asked to be in my wedding party actually were there, minus a couple aholes.

shareMy husband and I watched it last nite & we thought it was really funny. I think it's a BLACK COMEDY, which I think most people aren't getting. Seems like everyone is expecting a typical rom com or something??? The three main actresses do a great job playing sad/desperate women. And whoever said that this movie wasn't good because none of the actors are attractive, don't we all get it by now that beauty is in the eye of the beholder? I think Isla Fisher and Kirsten Dunst are super attractive.

A movie can be both a black comedy and a "sad reflection of the narcissistic society we live in." That's why Heathers was so good; it had something to say behind all the humor.
I didn't find it funny but humourous in most parts, which was enough to keep me interested. Not all forms of comedy are designed to make you laugh out loud.
