Characters making BAD decisions (spoilers)

So... just got done watching this piece of stash...

Many bad decisions by the characters.

Okay, first, leaving your cell phones in the car. In this day and age, who does that?

And then there's the ridiculous-ness... like opening the super secure door to go off and do whatever, exposing yourselves to the bad guys, but then taking super long times to say good bye, kiss your loved one, have conversation, etc. Might as well open that door to the safe room and before you go, have a light lunch, watch a movie or two, and so on.

And when you're creeping down a hallway to grab a shotgun, even though both bad guys are facing away from you and using SUPER loud power tools and couldn't possibly SEE or HEAR you, remember that you have all the time in the world. It's okay to go really slow and hide behind things (remember, they're facing AWAY from you) and be really quiet too (remember, they're using LOUD power tools).

Best of all, when you finally manage to take 2 hours sneaking up to grab that gun, quietly stand RIGHT THERE next to the bad guys and pump that shotgun, ever so quietly. But when you're done with that and there's a shell in that barrel, whatever you do, do NOT shoot the bad guys. No. Don't do that.

When the cops do finally show up, remember to act like a crazy person even if you're just the homeowner who's been terrorized. Because cops will calmly listen to your shouting. It helps if you have a gun pointed at someone.

And when that doesn't work and the bad guys kill the cop, be sure and repeat the same move a few scenes later... but, you know, with even MORE cops pointing guns at you. Because it worked so well the first time.

Oh, and if you ever walk into a friends house and see a dead body on the ground, damage from a grenade, and some other Dolph Lundgren-type bad dude, remember to stand there and vacantly pull out your phone to dial the cops, right then and there. Even if some other guy that you know quite well is telling you go stop and get out of there. Because, what does he know? It'll probably be fine.

To top it all off, if you have access to a super high tech security system with video all over the place, don't feel like you need to consult it every now and then to see what the bad guys are up to, or even where they are exactly before you make a break for it. Because we've got a suspenseful movie to make!

And that's just the stupid things the not-bad-guys make. The bad guys themselves pull plenty of their own stupid human tricks. Assuming (in this case correctly) that the people inside won't be able to call the cops. Finally getting into the house and then ignoring the fact that the couple are still inside somewhere, then turning your backs on them with loud noises (see above). And make all kinds of loud noises...doesn't matter, the neighbors could apparently care less. And when cornered by cops, pull the old "Dolph Lundgren is my dad" routine... works every time. Cops don't care, they'll just take your word for it.
