Remake?

Is this a remake of http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0062467/ (Wait Until Dark [1967)]) which is about a blind woman at home, and a doll full of heroin that three men really want. I know it's a couple in a house but are there similarities or just a b-movie ripoff? I DVR'd, and can't find too much on it; reviews are usually slanted, and even if not still...
