Original + engaging approach to zombie film. Suspenseful!

I've actually seen the film, had an extra role in it as a zombie, and I know the writer/director personally very well. FACT: There is NOTHING ripped-off here. Without giving away the plot, I can say that this engaging story hinges upon historical events and elaborates upon (fictionalizes) actual or alleged government cover-ups, which makes it rather riveting wo watch. The characters are very well-developed, and there are recognizable faces all over this film. You will love it! Rick Watson

First of all let me say that i really appreciate you being up front about your relationships with the movie and the writer/director, that in itself carries a lot of weight when you're giving your opinion on a flick. Too many times have i come here searching for an honest, unbiased recommendation before I invest my time and money on watching something and the director's cousin who had a role in the film plus helped with make up and set building will be here anonymously giving it 10 stars, and writing ' the greatest low budget movie ever made !' and ' This would have won an Oscar if it hadn't been filmed on a i phone !!'.

Well both of you may be biased, as it's your first posts on IMDB.
So everybody else is still in the dark about how good this film really is.

OK, well I'll lay it out for everyone, it's not a great film. In fact it was unfinishable for me and not good enough to fill the 432'nd spot in my zombie film list. The budget wasn't the problem either, it was the script just to be clear.

Dude SERIOUSLY?!?!

I don't blame you as you know the people involved and all, but can you SERIOUSLY, with a straight face say that this is and ORIGINAL & ENGAGING APPROACH TO ZOMBIE FILMS?!?!?!?!

I'm sorry but, there is NOTHING original about this, and the ONLY thing it engages is my gag reflex and bowels when I watched this...I mean seriously bro...this should be in the top 3 WORST Zombie films EVER!!

Thankfully I downloaded it a few hours ago, and didn't waste my hard earned cash on it.

Bad from beginning to end, how dare Mr McDowell and Sid Haig, who is HORRIBLY miscast as a military officer, do a film like this! They must need the money I guess. You guys should be ashamed of yourselves! How could you read this script and say "Oh yeah, this is going to be a great film". It boggles the mind really.

The film sucks ass but if i was in a film as an extra then i would big it up and rate it a 10. I know where these people are coming from

reply

Yes, I can't fault the guy for that one for sure...but still he HAD to know it was *poo* when reading the script, the writing is like almost the whole problem, nothing wrong with production values on it, so they had the budget it seems.

Just all around terrible writing. The dude should stick to writing music, not films in the zombie genre, because THAT is what is HOT at this time.

It's not as bad as superjoint ritual would have you believe. I'd even give it a 5 if it didn't have Corey Feldman in it. He's such a fag but on the other hand it has Metal God Tom Araya in it which I wasn't expecting. It gets a 4.5/10 from me. I've seen WAY WORSE garbage that people raved about on here

Im sorry i found it terrible... story plot and direction :\ it just made no sense no build up no story telling just oh zombies but no 1 puts up a fight only a hand full of people live... no cars trying to get in or out no cops no army just 2 random lesbians who are "military mercs?" right... and i love the way he directed the last chick to get her pussy eaten out and die...
