Brave and interesting

I think Magic Mike is an interesting answer to Showgirls and that type of film about female stripteasers that we take for granted. It is weird that there is so few films about male striptease, and for that I think Soderbergh had a good idea and was brave as an heterosexual man to adress this topic. To see so many people (especially men) hate the movie shows he touched a real taboo. I just regret the film is somehow superficial and doesn't explore this world more.
