This movie has nothing to do withSalem at all

Except for the supposed witches I guess. also how did the sheriff who was ugly/old as hell manage to get such a hot wife?

Yeah, because there is hills and mountains (as there were in the movie) in Louisana. Idiot.

I could tell in the opening scenes that it was filmed in California. The earth is dry and lighter in color than soil in the east. Also, that old Victorian mansion has been in other films. It was actually filmed in Pasadena, a suburb of Los Angeles.

The writers treat salem like a small town (there's a sheriff; the deputy says everybody knows everyone in Salem) but that place has like 50,000 inhabitants!
