Waste of Paul Walker's talent (spoilers)

Shame that Walker was involved in wasting his talent on such a poorly written film but mainly the poorly written character of Walker (Michael Woods).
His character goes from the self-centered, inconsiderate, & utterly stupid to occasionally being a credible ex-convict.
Such example are being a naive ignorant ex-criminal not being able to see the criminal intent of others he is exposed to, constantly driving whilst not looking at where he is going, constantly stopping in the middle of the road to use a mobile phone, when lost and asks about Smads street why not ask about the street that he was to turn off from? and then destroying his own supporting evidence -mobile phone he found. And then driving recklessly into a supermarket - maybe watching The Blues Brothers just too many times!
Nevertheless the film depicts South African police as the keystone cops that are inept, not able to handle their own police vehicles and not capable of any driving logic.
The film itself has a lot of logic inconsistencies such as when Walker is able to repeatedly find an isolated safe place free from pursuing police but then doesn't make the most of that by getting himself organised as to what his next step is going to be, instead he waits until he is being pursued by the police to realise that he needs to make a phone call.
Another question is the way he treats the kidnapped victim Mclean (Rachel Shabangu), Walker's character ranges from the feeble stepped on male being told what to do by her to the chauvanist do as I say, and then suddenly she is gagged & bound up for her talking too much! The way he treats the victim in the end hardly is respectful nor helps his case, again you would question Walker's character's logic.
Despite Walker discovering the corruption he has found himself in, why does Walker put so much trust in anonymous phone calls giving him instructions? Challenges anyone's logic.
The ending is quite strange, with Walker surviving the shooting there is no screen shot of what happens to him or how his life continues. Instead the viewer hears the outcome on radio broadcast whilst the vehicle is getting the final car-detailing in the car parking lot (which is strange as well).
Surprisingly with all the script weaknesses Walker is listed as an Executive Producer!!

Walker was paid good money to star in it and was also the producer.

I've never been able to see Walker's talent in any of his movies that I've seen. Can you give an example of one that shows his talent?

Hours, Running Scared, Pawn Shop Chronicles.
