Who else thought this was a bit silly [spoiler]

I thought it was a bit silly when Paul Walker keeps telling the black woman in the car to shut up then it suddenly shows her tied up again with the gag her mounth. I thought that was a bit "comic"/silly and didn't fit with the action. Anyone else agree?

Honestly if I get into a rental car and there is a loaded gun and a cell phone with some creepy dude calling me about some creepy crap that MIGHT have went on in the rental car I am locking that bitch up and walking.

2 choices all the non-morons in this world would do. Either stop and call the police or go back to the rental agency. I understand he had legal problems, so the police may not have been an option for him. But I am sure the rental car company would have no problem giving him another one that wasn't felonious. I would think their inspections cellphones all of the time. I could possibly see missing the gun with the silencer under the seat, but the hostage?

I took the situation with the car rental as a given someone, not everyone though knew what was going on, but one of those not in the know mistakenly gave the car to this man, when he talks to the lady in the rental office, there is a moment there where she seems almost desperate while telling him to come back to the office.

Any normal person. Remember he just got out of jail and has to remind himself to stay out of trouble. But he stays because he subconsciously wants the thrill of finding trouble to get into.

If I had found the gun, I would have recollected that the travel agent was trying to warn me, and vacated the van immediately and called a taxi.

He sees it as going above the law and be a hero, he is willing to do things no 'normal people' would do.

This is how this movie makes sense to me, this is a lesser skilled version of Brian Conner of Furious 7. Kidnapped ethic girl included.

the whole thing is retard...so they abduct this woman put her in a vehicle, hire a guy to fly in and kill her...why the hell didnt they just do it anyway?

reply

That was exactly the single bit of the whole movie that stood out above it's generally mediocre level ... and therefore I agree this part didn't fit the rest of it.

I was wondering how he managed to re-gag her while driving the car. And how did manage to squeeze his car up those narrow alley-ways?
