Why no sequel?
It earned $373 millions.
Usually even movies that didn't get good reviews get a sequel as long as they earned money.
Is it because there is a TV series of it?
There already was a TV series that came out before this movie. Also, it was only successful internationally whereas in america, it became a domestic flop due to it's competition with The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1. So I guess that's why it didn't get a sequel.
