The song Karma Chameleon

I was wondering? Did Michael play that song because Casey would undergo a major change or was he obsessed with those songs at the time his sister and him were close? Like playing, "Putting on the Ritz" in the car.

reply

I thought it's because the songs reminded him of his sister.

"Puttin' on" originally was from the 1930s. It's by the late Irving Berlin (who died in the 1980s), writer of "Happy Holiday","White Christmas","Easter Parade","God Bless America",and many other hit songs and musicals.

I wondered if it was a sort of homage to the thriller Manhunter. There's a scene towards the climax where a serial killer is getting ready to murder a victim and he puts on "Ina gadda davida"

It's a known scientific fact that listening to Boy George will make you lose your *beep* mind.
