One thing I don't understand

^Because she's a woman! Suddenly, for the first time in her life she has a roll of currency in her hand and she is ready to spend it. She has never in her life been in a fancy dress boutique and darned if she is not going inside to try on some dresses. It didn't work out for her in the store, but that is what she was thinking.

She had rejected the money earlier and the one that kidnapped her told her buying the dress wasn't a suggestion but an obligation. I believe she was so scared she couldn't wait to do as she was asked. Of course that her being a poor woman who wouldn't have been able to buy a dress as expensive played a part.
