I have to agree. The mother and daughter, aside from the blonde hair, did not look alike.
shareMight be, I don't know, maybe because its a movie and they didn't pick the actors based on the looks but on their acting skills?
Also, you did notice that the kids are not siblings, right? So who knows how the other parents look like.
